Bryan Deptula Profile
Dr. Bryan Deptula is the most down-to-earth PhD, Speaker, and Entrepreneur in the hospitality industry. He's the only hospitality consultant with a 6-inch facial scar from a knife fight, who went from being the 'King of Spring Break' to the 'Hospitality Business Physician.'
In his 20's, Bryan built his foundation in hospitality living and working in Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean, selling and operating student vacation packages. As National Sales Director and Corporate Trainer for a major travel company, Bryan managed a 3,000-person international sales team with a $30 million budget.
He pioneered the innovative Spring Break RV Road Show, leading a team that traveled across college campuses, hosting events and selling vacation packages that created memorable guest experiences. Bryan led onsite productions for MTV Spring Break, Real World Challenge Acapulco, and starred as the Destination Staff Trainer for Real World Cancun.
As a Hospitality Executive, Bryan experiences firsthand the pain caused by undiagnosed management diseases that paralyze guest service, occupancy performance, and kills profitability in hotels and resorts. Recognizing that other hospitality executives shared these challenges, Bryan researches two critical questions:
• What are the most common infectious diseases in the hospitality businesses?
• How can we get 100% of hospitality staff and management to perform beyond expectations?
As a Hospitality Business Physician, Bryan has diagnosed hundreds of hotels, restaurants, and tourism organizations, interviewing thousands of hospitality executives. Dr. Deptula has discovered the 'Top 20 Hospitality-Killing Illnesses.'
Bryan is his own patient — a fellow hotel owner and hospitality executive who experiences the same organizational challenges while running his successful hospitality business that he diagnoses, prescribes proven treatments for, and solves in other hospitality companies. Bryan's value proposition is unique: he's a one-of-a-kind Hospitality Consultant who relieves hospitality business pain by developing and prescribing customized solutions he's personally tested in his own hotel operations. Bryan shares his diagnoses and treatments with audiences and clients worldwide in powerful keynotes, research articles, and his TEDx Talk and his books.
