Michael Weber Biography

Mr. Weber has unfailingly demonstrated this unique ability with hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The themes of communication, information, and innovation resonate throughout every performance. For more than two decades Michael Weber has been creating an performing his own remarkable style of entertainment. He has demonstrated his amazing talents throughout the United States, Western Europe, South America and the Far East. Last fall he returned from a two month tour of France where he was a featured entertainer at the Cannes film Center, The Paris Acadamie, in the United States Embassy for the new U.S. Ambassador to France.

Recent articles in Omni magazine and a four page profile and the Los Angeles Times sing his praises. He appears regularly on national and international television programs like Beyond The Mechanical Universe and that PBS series, The Nature of Things. He was featured on the national television series Sightings were he was a able to produce writings on Polaroid film that answered questions concentrated upon by the host. The film and cameras were supplied by Polaroid research lab and the head of R&D confessed that what Weber did was impossible by today's technological standards.

Michael has worked with and for the Presidents and CEOs of companies including Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, National Semiconductor, Oracle, Williams-Sonoma, ABC, HBO, NBC, CBS, Celestial Seasonings, Levi Strauss, Silicon Graphics, Unocal, Texaco, Toyota, Dunn and Bradstreet, First USA Bank, Suzuki, Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett-Packard, Tandem, Dow Corning Chemical, and Bear Stearns.

He has performed for two U.S. presidents. His style and originality have made him the personal performer of choice for celebrities like Arnold Schwartzeneger, Sharon Stone, Frank Sinatra, Stevens Spielberg, and Johnny Carson for their own private events. He has established traditions with Ray Bradbury and Michael Milken by performing at their respective Halloween and New Year's celebrations for the past several years.

AV Needs

Company/Client shall use best efforts to provide:

Visual:
1) One flipchart with easel and markers (large pad of paper) on stage.

2) One small draped table to hold materials on stage.

3) Video projection system (to play and project image from a VHS videotape on a screen of dimensions suitable for audience size and configuration.) There is sound and image on the tape. AV tech who will physically control the VHS videotape deck.

4) Windows based computer capable of using a PowerPoint CD. This should be connected to the projection system. There may be sound and image in the presentation.

5) Projection system and all cables, extension cords and power supply necessary to project "Power Point" style slide program from a laptop computer (on a screen of dimensions suitable for audience size and configuration.) These should be run to an on-stage podium or table.

6) On stage screen to project Video and Computer images.

***7) Very Important!!!

A wireless "clicker" or "pickle" for advancing the presentation "slides." This may either directly control the images, or may be a cuing device for a backstage AV tech who will physically control the image advance.

Physical:

1) Small set of steps at the front of the stage/platform so audience members have easy access to the stage.

2) Stage and lighting as per audience size and configuration.

3) If steps are required to climb on and off the stage, at least one set of said steps must be located at the center front of the stage, accessing the audience.


Sound:

1) Company/Client shall use best efforts to provide a Professional First-Class Sound System capable of reproducing undistorted, evenly distributed sound throughout the seating area. Hotel sound systems where the speakers are built into the ceiling are traditionally not sufficient.

2) One sound technician available for pre-event sound check and continuously throughout Mr. Weber's presentation (to ensure quality sound during his presentation)

3) One wireless lapel microphone (capable of use in audience w/o feedback from stage speakers)

4) One wireless hand-held microphone on a stand (not a podium mike, and capable of simultaneous use with wireless lapel microphone in audience w/o feedback)
