Your speaker today/tonight grew up in one of the safest cities in America - Chicago. Walter Bond grew up the son of educators, His dad was a high school principal and mom taught kindergarten for over 60 years combined. So as you could imagine, Walter had a very, very tough childhood.
After a stellar high school basketball career, Walter attended the University of Minnesota where he was a leader on a team that broke a 26 games losing streak and went on to reach the Final Eight and Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Championship.

After a successful college career that included many challenges and set backs, Walter went on to have an eight basketball career with the Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and a few European teams. During Walter’s NBA career he also served as a player representative in multi-billion negotiations with many of the fiercest businessmen you could find.

Walter finished his basketball career with a stint as a broadcaster for the Minnesota Timberwolves as the radio color analyst. Walter’s natural commitment to excellence and innate ability to teach and inspire led him to found Walter Bond Seminars Inc. in 2001.
