Biography

Hailed by critics as "a musical experience unlike any other", Toxic Audio is a 5-member theatrical vocal experience, which was formed at the 1998 Orlando International Fringe Festival. These talented vocal virtuosos teamed up to create a unique interactive show, which combines dazzling harmonies, vocal sound effects and their own brand of improv comedy. The Orlando Sentinel has described their performances as "surprising, dazzling and brilliant," and says, "Toxic Audio will raise the hairs on the back of your neck and thrill you to the marrow!" The show caught the attention of Disney executives who hired Toxic Audio to perform at the Disney / MGM Studios. There, they spent over a year performing six shows a day for enthusiastic crowds of over 3000. These electrifying singers demonstrate an impressive versatility that sometimes makes it difficult to define the group's musical style. Their repertoire is an eclectic mix of almost every musical genre ranging from pop to jazz to hip-hop and even country. Since then, the Toxins have opened for such national acts as Tony Bennett, Ziggy Marley, Kenny G, and Wayne Brady from ABC TV's "Whose Line is it Anyway" and "The Wayne Brady Show." Toxic Audio has also lent its unique style to the corporate world, turning Tupperware and Newell Office products into percussive musical instruments. Accolades include being named "The Best Pop Group In America" by Ed McMahon's Next Big Star and crowned the year 2000 Harmony Sweepstakes National Champions. Their theatre work has earned them the Lillie Stoates Award for Best Musical and their album, "Chemistry" won the CARA award for "A Cappella Album of the Year" in 2003. As they continue to explore the boundaries of the human voice, the high-energy performers of Toxic Audio are always unexpected, wildly off-the-wall, and utterly entertaining.
