Biography

Richard Carlson’s Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff...and it’s all small stuff was at the top of The New York Times best seller list for two years--and changed American culture. Holding a Ph.D. in psychology, Dr. Carlson is considered one of the world’s foremost experts on stress-reduction. He helps his audiences live in the present, accept imperfections, and move toward a more satisfying and centered outlook. His action-oriented solutions help them deal with stress at home, at work, and in their inner lives a little better. Dr. Carlson has spoken to audiences around the world and appeared on such programs as The Oprah Winfrey Show, Today, and The View. In 1997, People magazine named him “one of the most intriguing people in the world.” He’s been featured on his own PBS special and will soon host the four-part Don’t Sweat the Future for the Discovery Health Channel.
