Biography

For over 35 years, Rey Baumel "The Genuine Authentic Fake!" has addressed over 1,000,000 people in all 50 states, all Canadian Provinces, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe.

He had been an after dinner, before dinner, luncheon, business meeting, closed circuit, keynote and closing speaker from London to Little Rock and from Cannes to Kankakee.

He has spoken to groups as small as 11 corporate executives in a boardroom to tens of thousands in a sports stadium.

His corporate clients constitute many of Fortune 500 companies and 50% of Fortune's Top 50 companies.

Feature articles on Baumel have appeared on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Miami Herald, The Chicago Tribune, Successful Meetings, Meetings & Conventions, TWA Ambassador and Delta Sky magazine.

His unique talents lie in the fact that he is a writer, performer and actor. As a writer he has written comedy material for major nightclub stars and personally researches and prepares all his own presentation. As a performer, Baumel has appeared in major clubs throughout the United States and as an actor, he has appeared in many films and on television with such stars as Jackie Gleason, Frank Sinatra, Jack Klugman, Anthony Quinn, Jack Palance and many others. For three years he served as president of the Screen Actors Guild of Florida.

Baumel's presentation is unique. He never gives the same speech twice. After receiving material from the client (the client receives an eight page questionnaire requesting details on the company or organization and after preparing a tailor-made presentation written especially for the group he arrives at the function as 'the authority.' He mixes with the attendees and then launches his words of wisdom.

Only the client contact and perhaps a few carefully selected individuals know his true identity. He has passed himself off as an expert in practically every profession and industry from "A" to "Z." Because of his meticulous research, his 'expertise' has never been challenged. To the contrary, attendees usually ask him for his advice and counsel.

But the effect of his performance (usually running from 25 minutes to an hour depending on agenda time restrictions) is the key to success of this speaker. This is more than just entertainment - Baumel takes the every day working of the audience's business world, turns it inside out and finds the humor in it.
