He was known as a program re-builder who took over three different programs that were a combined 28-54 (.341) in the season prior to his arrival compared to his combined final season record at those same three schools of 59-32 (.648). His teams won two championships earning Adams Coach of the Year honors in 1989 and national recognition.

He is also a national motivational speaker, published author and was recently inducted into the Rocky Mountain College Athletic Ring of Honor. Mark Adams has faced many professional challenges. One by one he has produced positive quantifiable results:
* As a basketball coach Adams took over three college basketball programs that had won only 34% of their games the season before he arrived. In his final season at these three universities, his teams won 64% of our games, including two championships, Coach of the Year honors and national recognition.
* As a professional salesman, Adams worked for 6 years for a manufacturing company. After 6ix years revenues doubled. Mark Adams was the top producing sales professional on that team.
* Adams then set a goal in 1999 to become a college basketball analyst on ESPN. He now broadcast 35 games per season on the ESPN family of networks.

The Wolf Pack Strategy: How to Build Your Team!
Wolf Pack Leadership is for high aspiring professionals!
Make sure to bring both your signature leader howl and your personal perspectives in traversing dangerous territory and surviving harsh environments. This will be a presentation you likely haven't yet experienced.
In the United States alone companies invested over $800,000,000.00 in 2007 on leadership training according to International Data Corporation (IDC). IDC research estimates that about 11% of all workers work in roles where their leadership roles are critical to organizational development. If my grade school math is correct then that means that 89% of all workers are more followers than professionally trained leaders.
Yet, when Mark Adams asks his audience team members how many of them have experienced some form of professional leadership training, 99% of these people raise their hands and the 1% that doesn't is probably not following directions. But, when he asks the same people how many of them have experienced followership training, maybe one hand reluctantly goes up accompanied by a look of uncertainty.
We will explore and share:
* The Definition of a ‘Leader'
* The Definition of ‘Leadership'
* The Definition of a ‘Follower'
* The Definition of ‘Followership'
* Strategies for effective teamwork, communication, developing team loyalty, patience and how to play as a team.
These strategies will drive you to re-evaluate how you lead and force you to recognize how often we all actually follow.
Mark has prepared a special presentation for high aspiring leaders. The distinctive howl of the leader, the thrill (and the danger) of the chase, and critical keys to the long term success of a sometime cooperative, sometime hostile pack — sound interesting? Sound relevant?

Turning It Around During Challenging Times
These are challenging times! So the obvious question is how have we overcome these tough times?
Step 1: Re-Create the Vision
Coach John McLendon had a vision based on his hope for the possibilities of integration in Durham, NC in 1944. Is your vision about people or profits? Are you effectively driving that vision? Are you effectively promoting your safe and sound business practices?
Step 2: Recruit the Best from Top to Bottom
John Wooden, who won 11 college national basketball championships, put it this way, "No matter how you determine total success in the coaching profession, it all comes down to one factor- Talent! Although not every coach can win with talent, no coach can win without it." Are you truly coaching your talented team?
Step 3: Be Clear About Your Expectations
During WWII General Dwight D. Eisenhower was contacted by General George Marshall. Eisenhower was informed that he would take over the command of the allied forces in London in WWII. His orders were clear: Proceed to London, Invade Europe, Defeat the Germans. The mission was: CLEAR, ATTAINABLE, DECISIVE, and SPECIFIC!!! Are you communicating clear goals to your business team?
Step 4: Play to Your Strengths
Real coaches understand that the entire game plan should revolve around individual and collective talents which they possess as a team. Talent combined with real coaching wins games and business, PERIOD!

Redwoods: Spread Your Roots and Coach Your Team to Success
Redwoods are the tallest trees in the world and can grow to 300 ft. tall and live for over 2,000 years but this giant tree has roots that only penetrate the ground to a depth of 10-13 ft. Redwoods spread and intertwine their roots with each other to stand tall and strong as they battle strong Pacific born storms. Mark Adams challenges audiences to spread their roots and develop team/alliance strategies that drive better team performance and better profitability with strong alliance relationships.
In today's competitive environment it is important to understand that successful businesses are built one person at a time while putting that person in position to touch as many people around him/her as possible.
